This act is a middle finger to my past relationships where I was labeled as a “perfect girl;” quirky, nerdy, and just relatable enough. It is to the song Uma Thurman by Fall Out Boy. Done cinematically, it cuts in parts of the spoken poem Manic Pixie Dream Girl by Olivia Gatwood. It begins with me recording myself on my phone’s camera, lipsynching to the words of the poem. These scenes cut in and out throughout the act. It then moves into me performing the act, wearing a bright orange Hooded zip up sweatshirt and olive cargo pants with bright purple hair. Within the act, there are also shots cut in of me hanging out outside and inside in my living room. Through the act, I remove my hoodie to reveal a shirt that says “Not Your Manic Pixie Dream Girl.” When the shirt and the pants are removed, I am in a sheer, flowy skirt with two panels tied at the top. I remove my wig to reveal myself and untie the top to reveal broken heart tassel pasties.
