Act 3 of Midnight Violet’s second episode is the made for video version of my very first REAL burlesque act!
It’s only been done live twice – once at a HUGE house party, and once for a private dinner on a yacht.
I am hooked on all of the hot new “bad bitch” music that gets added to my Spotify lists every week. When it comes to rap and hip hop, I like a lot of garbage as well as beautiful wordplay. That’s because the music isn’t meant to be profound, it’s meant to push you through your day with a good beat and lyrics that are simply fun, raunchy, brutally honest, whatever.
Whenever people say rap makes no sense, I think about The Walrus by the Beatles… art does not always have to outwardly “make sense” to embody a concept. I embrace ratchet music wholly!
As a wee little Violet, I often pretended to be Marylin Monroe, singing “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” and parading up and down the stairs wrapped in pink fabric (a clear root of my development into a burlesque dancer). When I came up wit this act, I wanted to knock ’em dead, and give the crowd a decent surprise. They weren’t ready for it AT ALL – and the reaction was absolutely amazing for me to experience as a performer.
I loved this modern flapper look so much, there are a ton of pics and clips going up on my OnlyFans! I could probably make a hole new video from all the footage I got. The choreography actually doesn’t work in my studio space… so if you HAVE seen this piece IRL, this is a whole new take.
